Moe takes it upon himself to watch out for Jack after he begins to explain his tragic home-life with his mother and her live in boyfriend who are also addicted to heroin.

Things begin to greatly improve in the Jack’s life as Moe takes care of him and purchases everything the child requires. This starts a life-long friendship between the two. Moe offers Jacks mother, Vanessa a new opportunity and a place to live with him, telling her he will help pay her bills if she will get clean, go to school, and learn a trade. After a few years, Moe realizes he has fallen in love with Vanessa and the feeling is mutual. The two decide to get married and Moe officially adopts Jack as his son. Having settled down, Moe has a new aspiration. He wants to open an all age, punk-rock, live-music venue.

Moe plans to attach to his music venue is a 24-hour laundromat. They book a famous crossover band, Dirty Rotten Imbeciles, to play on opening night. The shows are a sold out so the new “Punk-O-Matic Laundromat” starts out with a bang. Meanwhile, Moe forms a new band with Jack as vocalist.

Jack is excited to tell Moe that the next headlining band is none other than Jello Biafra’s band Guantanamo School of Medicine. Everyone is extremely elated about this. Finally, the night of the big gig happens and everything goes off without a hitch and both bands play blistering punk-rock sets to a delighted audience while the washers and dryers run in the background. Moe and Jack invite Jello and his band to stay at their house as opposed to them spending another night in a cheap motel. After Moe presents Jello with their new demo tape for possible signing consideration, everyone goes to bed.

Moe comments to Vanessa: “Can you believe Jello Biafra is actually sleeping in our house?”
