He lost his job and started a computer business, only to run out of money, turn to alcohol, and lose his wife. Thats when his problems began. It is 1970, but Ralph is oblivious to the furor over the Vietnam War until his daughter Cindy is caught with a Weatherman bomb in her car. She claims the FBI set her up. Needing big money for bail and a lawyer, Ralph is talked into a computer bank robbery.

He gets the money, which he intends to pay back, but he is twice blackmailed, becomes involved in industrial espionage, and murder by computer. He becomes the target for murder because he knows too much about the industrial espionage. With the help of The Pittsburgh Stealer -- a native-American computer hacker--he becomes a Stealer to get Cindy freed from the bombing charge. With Cindys help, he faces a showdown with his potential murderers.
